Happy new year to my few readers. I know its fallen off since the beginning. It's ok.
1. Christmas was great!
2. New years was great! Eleanor got some gifts to add to her college fund. So thanks to all the relatives for that. Little do they know i plan to groom my daughter to get a full ride somewhere as a left or right handed volleyball powerhouse. Or maybe Golfer. or musician? Be whatever you wanna be baby! Just let it pay for college. hehehe
This is how we do it in our family. Bow in respect to our family members. Wish them another prosperous year and long life.
Then they say thank you and pass you an envelope. Eleanor got into it too! She thinks that red envelope is food! She will learn soon enough!
Eleanor is doing so well. During new years we were out of the house from 9:30 am until 8 pm, and she was awesome! Not too much whining, and not too much crying. Everyone was so impressed.
Honestly, i think Sora has done a great job raising eleanor. She is such a good girl. both of them! haha
It is actually going so good with Eleanor's sleep patterns at night that Sora is able to get more sleep. Except when is out late with my cousins watching "DreamGirls" My sister liked the movie so much, she got the soundtrack for it. Me and Sora both like Jennifer Hudson. I liked her a lot during american idol.
So in retrospect, thanks again to Ej and Michelle, and their help and encouragement, Eleanor is pretty much full sleep trained. I would also like to thank my wife. For working together to make it happen. She was tempted many nights to go in and try and calm eleanor down. And sometimes i was tempted, but we stopped each other. Eleanor sleeps like a champ. 10 hours minimum!
We all get sleep, we all aren't cranky. Even Sora has now been timelining when to have our next child! Maybe after our aruba 2007 trip. hehehe.
On wednesday, i took my Real Estate Sales Agent exam. I was relatively prepared, but still nervous. The test was tricky, the wording was vague and not as easy as I thought. But thanks to my instructors at Temple University: Jon Orens real estate mogul, and Theresa Stigale another real estate mogul, i passed both sections. 30 questions on Pennsylvania Real Estate Law, and 80 questions on the National Real Estate Law. You find out right when you take the test. I was relieved.
I have not finished the process yet. I am in the process of choosing a broker of record to work with. Then i will drive my application down to harrisburg (technically not down, west to harrisburg ) then get started on what i hope to be a prosperous and successful real estate career. IN addition to my professional bowling aspirations.
Some notes on Real Estate licensing and prep. The school you choose to take the courses is key. I found temple univerisity to be excellent. Why? the instructors are knowledgable and bring a lot of color to what might be considered a dry subject. They are also knowledge base for the future. Lots of places can give you the hours, and help you crash course just to get the license, but real estate is so complicated sometimes. I mean really a pain in the butt, and you can make a lot of money, or lose a lot of money if you don't have the fundamentals down.
When i thought real estate mogul, i thought they lied, cheated and stole to get whatever they wanted, but these two professionals i met as instructors were awesome. And they played by the rules and respected thats all licensed real estate professionals are like a brotherhood or fellowship. It was good to see that.
I hope when it's all said and done the same will be said for me.
Bowling starts next week. I am planning on getting some new bowling shoes, thanks to my sister in law So Young for that. She chipped in for some new kicks.
I am about 10 pins away in terms of average to make my PBA goal. We shall see!
Ok, well, another resolution. If i start practicing real estate and meeting with possible customers, i have to bring up the level of my attire. Suits, sport coats, etc. I only fit into 1 suit i own. I have 4. Navy pinstripe, charcoal pinstripe, grey spring suit, navy solid suit. 1 of 4 fits, so i have to trim down my waistline. Not just for health, but because i am too cheap to buy new suits!
Not so i can live longer and be healthier, but because i am cheap! hahaha
So, turbojam, here i come. Goal, get waistline down to 31.5 Currently 33. 1.5 inches? I hope i can do it, because there is tons and tons of clothes in storage that i know i can fit into again.
Ok
Have a good first week of the year! or second.
Sam
