Self soothing or pick me up?

I was wondering for Dads out there. What type of thing do you recommend I could do for my wife. She is a little depressed. She was saying stuff like "i'm not a good mother" etc etc. I think its normal.

Right now, having my mother in law here is nice for some things, but she doesnt seem to be very strong in terms of self soothing. So , we have been wondering how much longer we can allow our mother in law to watch our baby. I think we will have to work something new out soon.

But Sora has been very strong , trying to do her best laying down the law. We got a baby monitor yesterday, but a neighbor must have the same one. So i am thinking of a new brand or model.

I want sora to be happy, and not depressed, so am going to help her with things.
