Fire down below!

Its now been five weeks that Eleanor has been alive and kicking.
She has already grown up so much.  I wonder what she will be like in 10 weeks.

Sunday, we took a trip to NYC.  It was pretty good.  She slept almost the whole car ride.  When we got to a stop sign, then she woke up.  Thankfully I found first avenue, and the lights are timed on that ave.  We kept it at about 25 MPH and Eleanor was knocked out again.

At new york we were celebrating with a close friend Sam & Michelle Park, their daughter was at the 100 day mark.  It’s a huge party for the friends and family. To celebrate the health of the baby, and the recovery of the mother.  Both are doing great.  I saw their baby 5 weeks ago, and she has grown up so much in that time.   She is a very happy baby, with all these new people coming over the house, touching her cute pudgy legs, and stuff.  I could see how that could be a little unsettling for kids.

I think it’s the age group of Sam’s community. It was baby mania in the place.  I think 2 women were expecting.  Like 8 months ready to go pregnant.  There were kids from 7 years old down to 5 weeks old (Eleanor).

Women were breast feeding in the back room.
Kids were running, some were just learning to walk.

The joy and happiness in that moment was pretty awesome.

So many people given the responsibility to care for little ones.  Training them to be good people.  I was very happy to see the multiplication of life there.

Eleanor was doing pretty good most of the night, a little whining and stuff from being tired and hungry.  She had a major dookie. So much so it squirted out of the front of her diaper.  We had been holding her upright and more on the front most of the night.  And we saw a small brown spot on her shirt. I  was like, hm someone spilled meat juice on my baby. Then Sora was like that’s not meat juice, that’s poop juice.

I used to think baby poop smelled kind of sweet.  Well this time.  It wasn’t sweet. Its was nutty and poopy.  We cleaned her up, washed her shirt in the sink, and good as new.

Sometimes babies don’t poop for a couple days, then BAM, they go.  Well she bammed us.

While at the party, Eleanor was scanning the room, checking people out.  She is very alert.  Well, lots of the babies were scanning.  Checking out the scene.  I wonder what their thoughts were…

I think for most people they got to see me and sora as parents.  Its very strange to me, it must have been strange to people we used to know from summer camp and youth group. But life progresses, and we grow up.  Usually.

My sister was in NYC at the party too.  I think first outing with the new BF.  Hehe.  She was bugging me, Let me hold the baby, let me hold the baby.  Good thing she didn’t get any dookie on her new outfit.  Sure everyone wants to hold the baby when she’s cute. But RUN and HIDE when she drops a deuce in her pampers.

Ok folks, we are going to do some exploring in NYC today.

Eleanor in the City!
Stay tuned for more pics.

hey, i would have offered to clean the baby. but since the parents are there, why must i dirty myself? +) that was pretty funny though. i can't believe the poop came out of the front of the diaper. trust me, this is not your last experience of an explosion. you're going to see a WHOLE lot more! seriously, sammy, i'll have to share my patent idea with you one day to help parents with "explosions".
